Walter circular saws type Hannibal

Hannibal circular saws are specialized saws designed for use on mechanically fed sawmills for longitudinal sawing of wood with a deeper kerf. These saws are characterized by a unique tooth design, which is divided into several sectors, which allows to effectively cope with the tasks of deep cutting of raw wood, including wood with large diameters.

Main features

Features of Hannibal saws are the teeth and their arrangement
Hannibal saws have teeth arranged in groups in sectors. Typically there are 4-8 sectors with 4-6 teeth in each sector. Between the teeth there are large interdental cavities, which allows for efficient sawdust removal and interruption of the saw's temperature field, reducing overheating.
The feed per tooth on Hannibal saws is uneven
which means that the first tooth of the sector can work with 2-4 times more feed than the rest of the teeth. This improves cutting efficiency, but also requires caution at high feed rates, as the first tooth can fail more quickly under increased load.
Hannibal saws are used on a wide range of mechanically fed sawmills
where deep sawing is required, making them suitable for logging machines, multi-cut saws and roundwood sawing lines. Lumber saws - for producing timber from large logs; multi saws - for efficient and fast cutting of wood into several pieces; roundwood sawing lines - for precise and fast cutting of round logs into billets.
Advantages of Walter PI-030 Hannibal type saws
Efficiency in deep cutting, due to their design features, these saws can efficiently handle wood with large cutting depths, making them an excellent choice for large logs and raw wood. The sectoral design and deep inter-tooth cavities not only help maintain high productivity, but also extend the life of the saw due to improved cooling and better chip evacuation.
